As a former manager of a multi-million-dollar RIA loan portfolio at a major custodian, he is seasoned at lending in the industry. Of his Irish heritage, he notes that his grandfather died 20 years before he was born and his great-grandfather 60 years before he was born. “So that chain is nearly exhausted,” he says. “But, my father was told by his mother that we were Irish – so therefore it must be. Besides, I have the Carroll name, one of the 25 most common in Ireland, and follow the long practice that it is the birth right of anyone with the name themselves to be part of a global and inclusive Irish Carroll group.
