Funeral confirmed for woman found dead in Derry

FUNERAL details have been confirmed for a woman who was found dead in Derry.

PSNI detectives are investigating the sudden death of the woman, who was in the Kilrea area on March 9, who has since been named as mother-of-one Jolene McDaid.

In a statement, Ms McDaid’s family said she will be “lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her entire family circle”.

They added that Ms McDaid, who was aged in her 40s, was a “much loved daughter” and a “loving mother”.

A graveside service will be held for Ms McDaid in Enagh Cemetery on Friday, March 14 at 1pm

The PSNI have further confirmed that a 38-year-old man, who was arrested in connection with the investigation, remains in custody.

“Officers are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the death,” they said in a statement.

“Further details will be provided in due course.” they added
