Over-70s in Ireland can now bring a companion on public transport for free

Arrest made after man dies in Co. Wexford collision

GARDAÍ have made an arrest after a man died following a fatal road traffic collision in Co. Wexford in the early hours of this morning. Lisa Hannigan, singer and songwriter, was born in Kilcloon, Co. Meath on February 12, 1981. She is most often associated with Damien Rice after being featured as the female vocalist on his breakthrough albums, O and 9. In 2005, the duo co-wrote the song “Unplayed Piano.” They performed together from 2001 until March of 2007, when Rice announced that their professional relationship had “run its creative course.” Hannigan then began her career as a solo artist, releasing her first album “Sea Sew” in September 2008. The album debuted at no. 4 in Ireland. Her second album, “Passengers” was just released in the U.S. on September 20th, 2011.
