Man dies following three-vehicle collision in Co. Longford

A MAN has died following a three-vehicle collision in Co. Longford. A second man has been taken to hospital following the incident, which occurred on the N4 at Edgeworthstown at around 7pm on Saturday. New appeal for information on 1994 disappearance of Imelda Keenan in Co. Waterford

GARDAÍ have issued a renewed appeal for information on Imelda Keenan, who went missing from Co. Waterford 32 years ago. SIR Patrick Duffy KSG, believed to have been the oldest living former parliamentarian in these islands, has died peacefully aged 105. Anniversary appeal for information on man who disappeared 20 years ago today

POLICE have issued an anniversary appeal over a man who went missing 20 years ago today. Martin Kelly was last seen on New Year’s Day in 2006 in Belfast, where he had watched a football match at a bar with friends. He hasn’t been seen since. The Co. NI Secretary pledges to ‘work closely’ with Irish Government to implement Troubles commitments

329 passengers were killed in a plane crash off the coast of Ireland. Air India flight 182 was en route from Montreal to Dehli, when it was blown up in Irish airspace by a bomb. Investigation into the flight led Canadian officials to believe that a Sikh militant group called Babbar Khalsa was responsible for the bombing. 280 Canadian citizens, 27 British citizens and 22 Indian citizens were lost, resulting in the largest mass murder in modern Canadian history. A monument remembering the event was unveiled in 1986 in Ahakista, Cork.
