New Co. Meath facility ends export of Poolbeg incinerator ash

A NEW facility in Knockharley, Navan, has ended the need to export ash from Dublin’s Poolbeg incinerator. Operated by Panda, the €35m plant began running in May and is the first in Ireland to process bottom ash on the island. Witness appeal after cyclist seriously injured in Waterford collision

A CYCLIST is in hospital after being seriously injured in a collision in Waterford. The e-bike and a car collided on Cork Road (R680) in Waterford City before 8pm on November 16. Taoiseach ‘delighted’ to officially open new arrivals hall at Kerry Airport

TAOISEACH Micheál Martin was on hand to officially open Kerry Airport’s new arrivals hall this week. PSNI launch investigation into abuse allegations at Presbyterian Church

AN INVESTIGATION is underway into allegations of abuse within the Presbyterian Church in Ireland (PCI). The PSNI has confirmed the probe into safeguarding concerns raised within the church, which were revealed last week by the church's moderator, Dr Trevor Gribben. Billy “the kid,” born William McCarty, commits his first murder on this day in 1877. The infamous outlaw was born in an Irish neighborhood of New York to a family who had immigrated during the famine. His mother moved his family west, where McCarty became involved with small crimes as a teenager. After getting into an argument with Irish immigrant Frank Cahill, Billy the kid shot the man and fled to New Mexico, where he began his long career of outlawry.
