Investigation underway following attempted hijacking in Belfast

AN INVESTIGATION is underway after an attempted hijacking of a teenager's scooter in Belfast. The incident happened at around 9.30pm on November 9. A group of young men approached the teenager as he was riding a scooter in the Stewartstown Road area and demanded he get off it. A MAN from Donegal has been charged after a collision in London left a woman in a lift-threatening condition. Billy “the kid,” born William McCarty, commits his first murder on this day in 1877. The infamous outlaw was born in an Irish neighborhood of New York to a family who had immigrated during the famine. His mother moved his family west, where McCarty became involved with small crimes as a teenager. After getting into an argument with Irish immigrant Frank Cahill, Billy the kid shot the man and fled to New Mexico, where he began his long career of outlawry.
