Teenager injured in Galway collision dies in hospital

A TEENAGER who was seriously injured in a collision in Galway over the weekend has died in hospital. The young woman, who is in her late teens, was driving one of two cars which collided in Ballygaddy Road, Tuam at around 6.05pm on July 13. Man who conned 10 people with investment scam sentenced

A MAN who conned 10 people in an investment scam has been sentenced. Ryan O’Kane, from Tamlaght Road in Omagh, pleaded guilty to 24 counts of fraud and was sentenced at Laganside Crown Court on July 16. Paul “Bono” Hewson married his high school sweetheart Alison Stewart on this day in 1982. The two first met at Dublin’s Mount Temple Comprehensive School and began dating in 1975. They were married at All Saints Church in Dublin. Bono has dedicated two songs to his wife, “The Sweetest Thing” and “All I Want is You.” The couple has four children together.
