Dublin and Cork airports record ‘busiest weeks ever’

PASSENGER numbers have hit record highs at both Dublin and Cork airports as the summer season kicks off in Ireland. The airports, which are operated by Daa, each welcomed record numbers of passengers in June, they confirmed this month. Statue of Daniel O’Connell will be unveiled to mark his 250th birthday

A STATUE of the Irish nationalist leader Daniel O’Connell will be unveiled in Dublin’s Leinster House this year. Paul “Bono” Hewson married his high school sweetheart Alison Stewart on this day in 1982. The two first met at Dublin’s Mount Temple Comprehensive School and began dating in 1975. They were married at All Saints Church in Dublin. Bono has dedicated two songs to his wife, “The Sweetest Thing” and “All I Want is You.” The couple has four children together.
