Two arrested after gardaí seize €300,000 worth of cannabis in Dublin

TWO people have been arrested after gardaí seized €300,000 worth of cannabis in Dublin. The discovery was made by the Dublin Metropolitan Region (DMR) Central Drug Unit in the south inner city on Tuesday. Irishman dies after getting into difficulty swimming in sea in Malta

AN IRISHMAN has died after getting into difficulty while swimming in the sea in Malta. The 76-year-old was swimming in the water near Xatt is-Sajjieda in St Julian's when the tragedy occurred. Teenager dies, second injured after tractor collision in Co. Leitrim

ONE teenager has died and a second injured following a single-vehicle collision involving a tractor in Co. Leitrim. Arrest made after man dies following Cork attack

A MAN has died from injuries sustained in an attack in Co. Cork last night. Gardaí were called to reports of an assault outside a pub in North Main Street, Youghal at around 9.50pm last night. Ireland-based Waterford Crystal’s “Star of Hope” cut glass ball was selected by New York City on this day in 1999 to welcome the new millennium for Times Square’s New Year’s Eve. The glass ball had a six foot diameter and was covered with 572 crystal panels, each consisting of five diamond shapes.
