Cyclist dies in hospital after serious collision on Irish road

A CYCLIST who was involved in a collision in Co. Monaghan has died in hospital. Concerns grow for ‘high-risk’ Irish man now missing for five months

POLICE haven issued a renewed appeal for information on the whereabouts of a man who has been missing for more than five months. Jason Hughes was last seen on Friday, April 26. Hit-and-run driver reversed through garden wall at speed while children played nearby

POLICE have appealed for information after a driver reversed at speed through a garden wall while children were playing nearby. Following the incident in the Dunmurry area of Belfast city, the driver fled the scene. 329 passengers were killed in a plane crash off the coast of Ireland. Air India flight 182 was en route from Montreal to Dehli, when it was blown up in Irish airspace by a bomb. Investigation into the flight led Canadian officials to believe that a Sikh militant group called Babbar Khalsa was responsible for the bombing. 280 Canadian citizens, 27 British citizens and 22 Indian citizens were lost, resulting in the largest mass murder in modern Canadian history. A monument remembering the event was unveiled in 1986 in Ahakista, Cork.
