Man in his 20s dies following collision in Co. Sligo

GARDAÍ have appealed for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Co. Sligo this morning. President John F. Kennedy receives a warm welcome upon his visit to his ancestral home in Co. Wexford, Ireland. Marking the second day of his four day trip through Ireland, Kennedy also visited the nearby town of New Ross, where his great-grandfather Patrick Kennedy left from in 1848 during the potato famine. Kennedy made a speech stating, “When my great-grandfather left here to become a cooper in East Boston he carried nothing with him except two things–a strong religious faith and a strong desire for liberty. I am proud to say that all of his grandchildren have valued that inheritance.”
