Investigation launched after man injured in Co. Down shooting

POLICE have launched an investigation after a man sustained 'significant injuries' in a shooting in Co. Down. Man arrested as gardaí investigate death of woman in Co. Cork

GARDAÍ are questioning a man following the death of a woman in Co. Cork. Emergency services were called to a domestic residence in Midleton at around 4.15pm on Friday. Man charged after van rams gates of State buildings in Dublin

A MAN has been charged after a van was rammed into the gates of several State buildings in Dublin earlier this week. Paid parental leave extended from seven to nine weeks in Ireland from today

After 38 years of occupation in Northern Ireland, the British Army officially withdrew their forces at midnight on July 31, 2007. “Operation Banner,” England’s longest continuous military operation, saw 300,000 British soldiers stationed in Northern Ireland through out the 38 years. Operation Banner concluded on July 31st, with 762 English soldiers dead in the wake of the campaign.
