‘Gentle, loving person’: Family pay tribute to pedestrian who died in two-car collision

THE FAMILY of a pedestrian who died following a two-vehicle collision have described him as a 'quiet, gentle, loving person'. Dean McCormack, 62, was on foot at the time of the collision involving a silver Audi TT Quattro and a grey BMW 218I near the village of Compton Abbas, Dorset on June 6. Bill Doolin, famous western outlaw of Irish descent, escaped from jail on this day in 1896. Born in Arkansas, Doolin went west and worked several jobs as a cowboy on Oklahoma ranches. He eventually became a member of the Dalton gang, who attempted several robberies. In 1892, Doolin formed his own gang called the Wild Bunch, which became the most infamous outlaw group of the west at that time. Doolin was eventually shot and killed by U.S. Marshal Heck Thomas.
