Ireland fines Meta €251m for data breach

IRELAND has fined Meta €251m in relation to a data breach which occurred in 2018. The Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC) launched two inquiries following the personal data breach, which was reported by Meta in September 2018. Diageo fined £500k after worker sustains serious burns

DIAGEO has been fined half a million pounds after an employee sustained burns to more than thirty per cent of his body while at work. A MAN has been arrested after a woman was found dead at a property in Co. Wexford in the early hours of this morning. Gardaí in Gorey are investigating the death of the woman, who was in her 30s. Denis Johnston, Irish playwright and protege of W.B. Yeats and George Bernard Shaw, was born on this day in 1901. Johnston’s first play, “The Old Lady Says No!” helped establish his career as a playwright. “The Moon in the Yellow River” (1931) is perhaps his most well known play.
