Arrest after teenage girl dies in collision in Co. Wicklow

A TEENAGE girl has died following a single-vehicle collision in Co. Wicklow. The girl was a passenger in the car when the collision occurred shortly before 5am on Sunday at Slaney Park in Baltinglass. She was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Young woman dies after falling at Cliffs of Moher

A WOMAN has died after falling at the Cliffs of Moher in Co. Clare. The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon while the woman, aged in her 20s, was visiting the popular tourist attraction with friends. Man nailed to fence in ‘sinister attack’ in Co. Antrim

POLICE have condemned a 'sinister attack' in Co. Antrim in which a man was nailed to a fence. Ireland’s Crown Jewels are found missing on this day in 1907, just before days before a state visit by King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra. The theft remains a mystery to this day. Arthur Vicars, Officer of Arms at Dublin Castle, held the jewels in his office and publicly accused his second in command, Francis Shackleton. Shackleton was exonerated and the case was never solved. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle used this historical event as the influence for his Sherlock Holmes story “The Adventure of the Bruce-Partington Plans.”
