AN Irish bar has launched a campaign to raise money to buy a tuk-tuk for an orphanage in India. Founded in 2021 by Irish couple Lara and Kieran Boyle, Boyles' Bar in Sidcup, south-east London is a family-run boutique watering hole. Boy, 13, dies as five injured in ‘horrific’ stabbing attack in London

A 13-YEAR-OLD boy has died following a ‘horrific’ stabbing attack in London this morning. Man dies following collision between tractor and quad bike on Irish road

AN INVESTIGATION is underway after a young man was killed in a collision between a quad bike and a tractor. The man, aged in his 20s, was driving the bike which collided with a tractor on the R353 in Derrybrien, Gort, County Galway at around 1.15pm on April 28. Man convicted of killing Irish pensioner Thomas O’Halloran in brutal London attack

A MAN has pleaded guilty to killing Irish pensioner Thomas O’Halloran in a brutal attack in West London. Lee Byer, of Allenby Avenue, Southall, pleaded guilty to the manslaughter by diminished responsibility of the 87-year-old, who was stabbed in Greenford, west London, in August 2022. Bill Doolin, famous western outlaw of Irish descent, escaped from jail on this day in 1896. Born in Arkansas, Doolin went west and worked several jobs as a cowboy on Oklahoma ranches. He eventually became a member of the Dalton gang, who attempted several robberies. In 1892, Doolin formed his own gang called the Wild Bunch, which became the most infamous outlaw group of the west at that time. Doolin was eventually shot and killed by U.S. Marshal Heck Thomas.
