Man sentenced to community service over Michaela McAreavey song

A MAN has been sentenced to community service in relation to the singing of an offensive song about murdered schoolteacher Michaela McAreavey. Dillion Kelly, 22, had denied a charge of behaviour likely to stir up hatred but was found guilty last month. Jeffrey Donaldson appears in court over historical abuse charges

JEFFREY DONALDSON has appeared in court charged with 11 offences relating to historical sexual abuse. The 61-year-old, who stepped down as leader of the DUP after being charged last month, appeared at Newry Magistrates' Court this morning alongside his wife, Eleanor Donaldson. ‘Stalking can take many forms’ police warns as 300 arrests made in two years

MORE than 300 alleged stalkers have been arrested in Northern Ireland over the past two years, according to new figures. ‘Clear link’ between human trafficking and homelessness in Ireland

Bill Doolin, famous western outlaw of Irish descent, escaped from jail on this day in 1896. Born in Arkansas, Doolin went west and worked several jobs as a cowboy on Oklahoma ranches. He eventually became a member of the Dalton gang, who attempted several robberies. In 1892, Doolin formed his own gang called the Wild Bunch, which became the most infamous outlaw group of the west at that time. Doolin was eventually shot and killed by U.S. Marshal Heck Thomas.
