Family pay tribute to mother-of-seven as partner is charged with murder

A FAMILY have paid tribute to a mother-of-seven who was found dead at a property in Coventry last week. Pauline Sweeney, 50, was found with serious stab wounds at an address in Long Close Avenue on Wednesday, March 20 and died a short time later. Gardaí launch appeal to find owner of urn with ‘Dad’ inscription

GARDAÍ in Co. Wicklow have a launched an appeal to find the owner of an urn that is inscribed with the word 'Dad'. Woman due in court after €300,000 worth of cannabis seized at Dublin Airport

A WOMAN is due to appear in court today after Revenue seized €300,000 worth of cannabis at Dublin Airport on Tuesday. Ireland’s Crown Jewels are found missing on this day in 1907, just before days before a state visit by King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra. The theft remains a mystery to this day. Arthur Vicars, Officer of Arms at Dublin Castle, held the jewels in his office and publicly accused his second in command, Francis Shackleton. Shackleton was exonerated and the case was never solved. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle used this historical event as the influence for his Sherlock Holmes story “The Adventure of the Bruce-Partington Plans.”
