Man wanted for drugs offences in southern Ireland arrested in Belfast

A MAN who was due to stand trial for drugs offences in southern Ireland has been arrested in Belfast. The 59-year-old was wanted for offences that occurred in the Kilkenny area in 2012. Murder investigation launched after man dies following Belfast attack

POLICE have launched a murder investigation after a man found with series injuries in Belfast died in hospital. The incident happened at around 8pm last night, in the Cupar Street area of west Belfast. On this day in 1816, Dublin born playwright and politician Richard Brinsley Sheridan died in London. Sheridan was a member of the British House of Commons and is best remembered for his plays “A Trip to Scarborough,” “The Rivals,” and “The School for Scandal.” He was very well respected by his contemporaries and is buried at the Poet’s Corner at Westminster Abbey.
