Man wanted for drugs offences in southern Ireland arrested in Belfast

A MAN who was due to stand trial for drugs offences in southern Ireland has been arrested in Belfast. The 59-year-old was wanted for offences that occurred in the Kilkenny area in 2012. Life sentence for man who murdered ‘much-loved son, brother and father’

A MAN found guilty of murdering a father-of-three has been handed a life sentence. A first edition draft of a chapter from James Joyce’s “Ulysses” is sold for close to £900,000 at an auction on this date in 2001. The scribble-filled manuscript of the chapter, titled Eumaeus, was sold by Sotheby’s. It was expected to sell for more than £1m.
