Man wanted for drugs offences in southern Ireland arrested in Belfast

A MAN who was due to stand trial for drugs offences in southern Ireland has been arrested in Belfast. The 59-year-old was wanted for offences that occurred in the Kilkenny area in 2012. Life sentence for man who murdered ‘much-loved son, brother and father’

A MAN found guilty of murdering a father-of-three has been handed a life sentence. On this day in 1816, Dublin born playwright and politician Richard Brinsley Sheridan died in London. Sheridan was a member of the British House of Commons and is best remembered for his plays “A Trip to Scarborough,” “The Rivals,” and “The School for Scandal.” He was very well respected by his contemporaries and is buried at the Poet’s Corner at Westminster Abbey.
