Man appears in court after being extradited from US over historic indecent assault offences

A MAN has appeared in court after he was extradited from the US over historic indecent assault offences. Staff threatened with knife during armed robbery at off licence in Belfast

STAFF at a Belfast off licence were left shaken after being threatened with a knife during a robbery last night. A first edition draft of a chapter from James Joyce’s “Ulysses” is sold for close to £900,000 at an auction on this date in 2001. The scribble-filled manuscript of the chapter, titled Eumaeus, was sold by Sotheby’s. It was expected to sell for more than £1m.
