GARDAÍ are investigating after seized drugs that had been stored at a garda station went missing. The 'significant amount' of drugs was moved from a station in the east of the country. Man from Ireland sentenced to 26 years for historic sexual abuse of children at Catholic care home

A MAN has died following an explosion at a hostel in Dublin. The incident occurred at the premises on Little Britain Street, Dublin 7, on Thursday. Two men sentenced following investigation into UVF drugs operation

TWO men have been handed suspended sentences following an investigation into the large-scale supply of cocaine by the UVF in East Belfast. The pair were arrested following searches carried out in the area in 2018 by the Paramilitary Crime Task Force (PCTF). A first edition draft of a chapter from James Joyce’s “Ulysses” is sold for close to £900,000 at an auction on this date in 2001. The scribble-filled manuscript of the chapter, titled Eumaeus, was sold by Sotheby’s. It was expected to sell for more than £1m.
