Illegal drugs and counterfeit goods totalling €650k seized in raids across Ireland

CONTRABAND worth an estimated €650K has been seized following a series of raids across Ireland. The seizures were made between March 23 to March 30, a spokesperson for Revenue confirmed. Five people hospitalised following ‘serious collision’ in Westmeath

FIVE people were taken to hospital following a collision between a car and a van in Co. Westmeath. Ireland urges Israel ‘not to implement’ new death penalty law

ISRAEL has passed a law which reinstates the death penalty as a punishment for terrorists. Elderly woman dies in hospital following Armagh collision

AN elderly woman who was involved in a collision in Armagh earlier this month has since died in hospital. The two-car collision happened on the Newry Road at around 10.30am on March 22. This day officially marked the last day of the Irish War of Independence after a truce was agreed upon by Ireland and England. Starting on July 11, the IRA suspended efforts by their forces. The truce, which had been in talks since December of 1920, was decided on by Eamon de Valera and Lord Middleton and was formally signed by Dail members Robert Barton and Eamon Duggan and British Army commander Neville Macready.
