NINE million smuggled cigarettes were seized at an Irish port following a Revenue search operation. The seizure was made at Rosslare Europort in Co. Six arrested for driving under the influence in one ‘reckless’ night in Belfast

SIX people were arrested in Belfast over the weekend for drink and drug driving offences. Cannabis factory discovered at Tyrone home

A CANNABIS factory has been discovered following a raid on a property in Co. Tyrone. Police arrived at the house in Omagh at around 2.40pm on February 28. Protestant William of Orange and his forces defeated Catholic James II on this day in 1690 at Battle of the Boyne. William’s victory rendered James II’s attempt to regain the British throne unsuccessful and allowed for a continuation of Protestant ascendancy in Ireland. The battle was fought across the River Boyne near Drogheda. July 12 is also known as “The Twelfth” or “Orange Day” in Belfast.
