A WOMAN has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing incident in Co. Armagh. On Saturday evening, police responded to an incident in the Lord Lurgan Park area on Lurgan. A MAN has been arrested after a teenage girl died following a hit-and-run incident in Co. Meath. The collision occurred on the N51 Slane Road, Navan at around 8.20pm on Saturday. Protestant William of Orange and his forces defeated Catholic James II on this day in 1690 at Battle of the Boyne. William’s victory rendered James II’s attempt to regain the British throne unsuccessful and allowed for a continuation of Protestant ascendancy in Ireland. The battle was fought across the River Boyne near Drogheda. July 12 is also known as “The Twelfth” or “Orange Day” in Belfast.
