Police received a report of a fire in the Waring Street area of Ballymena shortly before 9.45am on Friday and attended alongside the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS). Man stabbed after having liquid thrown in face during Co. Down attack

POLICE are investigating after a man was reportedly stabbed after having a liquid thrown in his face during an attack by a number of masked men in Co. Down. Dublin’s Abbey Theater was destroyed by a fire on this date in 1951. The original buildings of the theater were all lost, however the Irish government helped rehouse the company at the Queen’s Theater until 1966 when the new Abbey Theater, a more contemporary theater facility, opened on the same site.
