British police launch manhunt for escaped prisoner who has links across island of Ireland

POLICE have launched a manhunt for a prisoner who has escaped from a prison in Warrington. Daniel Buckley was last seen at HMP Thorn Cross in Appleton on the morning of Saturday, May 30. Drivers offered grants of up to €8.5k to switch to electric vehicles

THE Irish Government will give drivers grants of up to €8,500 to help them switch from traditional cars to electric vehicles. Ireland’s Crown Jewels are found missing on this day in 1907, just before days before a state visit by King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra. The theft remains a mystery to this day. Arthur Vicars, Officer of Arms at Dublin Castle, held the jewels in his office and publicly accused his second in command, Francis Shackleton. Shackleton was exonerated and the case was never solved. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle used this historical event as the influence for his Sherlock Holmes story “The Adventure of the Bruce-Partington Plans.”
