Ireland deports 34 men on chartered flight to Poland and Lithuania

THIRTY-FOUR men were deported from Ireland “on grounds of criminality” this week. A chartered flight left Dublin Airport on Sunday, May 24, carrying 22 Polish nationals and 12 Lithuanians. Free school meals over summer scheme extended across Ireland

A SCHEME which provides free meals to schoolchildren during the summer months will be extended in Ireland this year. Witness appeal following fire attack on Garda station

GARDAÍ have appealed for witnesses to come forward after a Garda station in Wexford was targeted in a fire attack this morning. The force has launched an investigation into criminal damage by fire to Blackwater Garda Station in Blackwater stated  today (May 26). On this day in 1816, Dublin born playwright and politician Richard Brinsley Sheridan died in London. Sheridan was a member of the British House of Commons and is best remembered for his plays “A Trip to Scarborough,” “The Rivals,” and “The School for Scandal.” He was very well respected by his contemporaries and is buried at the Poet’s Corner at Westminster Abbey.
