Young man dies in Co. Carlow collision

A MAN has died following a collision in Co. Carlow this morning. The single vehicle incident happened at Ballytiglea on the R702 between Borris and Goresbridge at around 6.20am. A MAN has been extradited from the Republic of Ireland to Northern Ireland where he is wanted in relation to a series of offences. TWO teenagers have been arrested following a serious assault in Dublin over the weekend which left a man in a critical condition in hospital. On this day in 1816, Dublin born playwright and politician Richard Brinsley Sheridan died in London. Sheridan was a member of the British House of Commons and is best remembered for his plays “A Trip to Scarborough,” “The Rivals,” and “The School for Scandal.” He was very well respected by his contemporaries and is buried at the Poet’s Corner at Westminster Abbey.
