Teen who died in Co. Tyrone collision is named locally

A TEENAGER who died in a single-vehicle road traffic collision in Co. Tyrone on Tuesday night has been named locally as 18-year-old Callum Quinn. Police name Co. Tyrone murder victim as 71-year-old Adam Krzan

POLICE have named a man murdered in  Co. Tyrone last week as 71-year-old Adam Krzan. French arms company Thales to open new facility in Northern Ireland

STORMONT has been told today that French-owned arms company, Thales, is due to open a third manufacturing facility in Northern Ireland. Man awarded £115k in damages following clerical sex abuse

A MAN is set to receive £115,000 in damages after claiming to have suffered sexual abuse at the hands of a priest in the high school he attended in Newry, Co. Down during the 1980s. Primary school boy remains in hospital after Dublin stabbing

THE GARDAÍ are investigating the stabbing of an 11-year-old boy at a primary school in north Dublin just before noon yesterday, which resulted in serious injuries. Legendary actor and Oscar winner Gregory Peck died on this day in 2003. Peck, who’s grandmother Catherine Ashe came from Dingle, studied at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York and debuted in his first Broadway show The Morning Star after graduation. His role in The Keys of the Kingdom in 1944 won him an Academy Award nomination. He became well known for his rugged screen presence and was often cast as the hero, especially in westerns. He starred opposite Audrey Hepburn in her first film Roman Holiday. Peck finally won the Oscar for his role as Atticus Finch in 1962’s To Kill a Mockingbird.
