Second arrest made in connection with murder of elderly man in Co. Tyrone

POLICE investigating the murder of an elderly man in Co. Tyrone have made a second arrest. A man in his 70s was pronounced deceased at the scene after being discovered with serious injuries at a flat in the Corrainey Park area of Dungannon on Thursday evening. THE PSNI has confirmed that a body recovered on the Causeway Coast is that of missing London man Lester McLennan. Concern for woman, 24, missing from Dublin for more than three months

GARDAÍ are seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of a woman who has been missing from Dublin for more than three months. Legendary actor and Oscar winner Gregory Peck died on this day in 2003. Peck, who’s grandmother Catherine Ashe came from Dingle, studied at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York and debuted in his first Broadway show The Morning Star after graduation. His role in The Keys of the Kingdom in 1944 won him an Academy Award nomination. He became well known for his rugged screen presence and was often cast as the hero, especially in westerns. He starred opposite Audrey Hepburn in her first film Roman Holiday. Peck finally won the Oscar for his role as Atticus Finch in 1962’s To Kill a Mockingbird.
