A MAN has been jailed for 25 years after being found guilty of a string of sexual offences, including sexual activity with a child. Resident assaulted by armed pair during ‘terrifying’ aggravated burglary on outskirts of Belfast

Young man dies following road traffic collision in Co. Down

A YOUNG man has died following a single-vehicle road traffic collision in Co. Down. The incident involving a blue Vauxhall Corsa happened at around 7.10pm on Saturday in the Carryduff Road area of Temple, Lisburn. 329 passengers were killed in a plane crash off the coast of Ireland. Air India flight 182 was en route from Montreal to Dehli, when it was blown up in Irish airspace by a bomb. Investigation into the flight led Canadian officials to believe that a Sikh militant group called Babbar Khalsa was responsible for the bombing. 280 Canadian citizens, 27 British citizens and 22 Indian citizens were lost, resulting in the largest mass murder in modern Canadian history. A monument remembering the event was unveiled in 1986 in Ahakista, Cork.
