Pensioner killed in collision on Irish road

A MAN has died after the car he was driving was involved in a collision in Kilkenny. GARDAÍ have appealed for information on the whereabouts of a Co. Laois teenager who has been missing for almost a week. Co. Limerick shop celebrates after selling winning €5.5m lottery ticket

A SHOP in Co. Limerick was celebrating this week after it was revealed it sold the winning ticket for Wednesday’s €5.5m Lotto Jackpot. On this day, Eamon de Valera abolished the Oath of Allegiance, a provisional aspect in the Anglo-Irish treaty of 1921. This provisional aspect originally required all members of the Irish parliament to take an oath declaring their allegiance to the King. This date also marked when de Valera withheld land annuities from England.
