Man convicted of killing Michael Murphy in Boxing Day attack

A MAN has been convicted of killing another man in a violent and aggressive Boxing Day attack. Jurejs Vankovs has been found guilty of the manslaughter of 49-year-old Michael Murphy following a trial at Wood Green Crown Court which concluded yesterday (July 17). British Government to repeal Controversial Legacy Act

THE CONTROVERSIAL Legacy Act, which came into force under the Conservatives earlier this year, is set to be repealed. Bill Doolin, famous western outlaw of Irish descent, escaped from jail on this day in 1896. Born in Arkansas, Doolin went west and worked several jobs as a cowboy on Oklahoma ranches. He eventually became a member of the Dalton gang, who attempted several robberies. In 1892, Doolin formed his own gang called the Wild Bunch, which became the most infamous outlaw group of the west at that time. Doolin was eventually shot and killed by U.S. Marshal Heck Thomas.
