Man who skipped bail extradited from Germany to stand trial in Northern Ireland

A MAN has been extradited from Germany to stand trial in Northern Ireland for offences which happened in 2018. The 29-year-old is charged with one offence of robbery and one offence of possession of an offensive weapon, in relation the incident in Portrush in November of that year. Teenage cyclist knocked off bike in hit and run collision

A TEENAGE boy was knocked off his bicycle in a collision with a car in Co. Antrim. A first edition draft of a chapter from James Joyce’s “Ulysses” is sold for close to £900,000 at an auction on this date in 2001. The scribble-filled manuscript of the chapter, titled Eumaeus, was sold by Sotheby’s. It was expected to sell for more than £1m.
