PRESIDENT Connolly has paid tribute to poet Gabriel Rosenstock following his death aged 76. Man dies and woman injured in Co. Louth collision

A MAN has died following a collision in Co. Louth last night. The two-vehicle incident happened on the N53 at Rassan in Dundalk at around 10.15pm. Man attacked and tied up while burglars ransacked his home

Pedestrian injured in collision with lorry in Donegal dies in hospital

A PEDESTRIAN has died in hospital after being seriously injured in a collision in Co. Donegal last week. The woman, who was aged in her 40s, was struck by a lorry at Station Roundabout in Port Road, Letterkenny at around 3pm on April 3. A first edition draft of a chapter from James Joyce’s “Ulysses” is sold for close to £900,000 at an auction on this date in 2001. The scribble-filled manuscript of the chapter, titled Eumaeus, was sold by Sotheby’s. It was expected to sell for more than £1m.
