James Houlihan

James J. Houlihan is a graduate of Manhattan Preparatory School and Fordham University’s School of Business. He represents the fourth of five generations in a family business: Houlihan-Parnes Realtors, LLC, founded in 1891 by his great-grandfather, Daniel Houlihan. Jim is the managing principal of his multi-faceted commercial real estate firm and has managed daily operations since 1987.

Jim served as chairman of the Great Hunger Memorial Committee of Westchester County and helped erect the “An Gorta Mór” monument. He also conceived and curated the acclaimed exhibit “The Fighting Irishmen: A Celebration of the Celtic Warrior.” He was honored with the Irish Art Center’s “Spirit of Ireland” award in 2001.

He received the Irish American Building Society award in 2007, and on March 12, 2022, he led the White Plains, New York St. Patrick’s Day Parade, as Grand Marshal.

Jim and his wife, Pat, reside in Bronxville, New York, and Nantucket, Massachusetts. They have five grown children and six grandchildren.
