Bernadette Russell has served as Vice President of Technology at the NY Fed since April 2021. In this capacity, she leads the Product Owner function, overseeing the technical product delivery for wholesale and retail payment products. Previously, Bernadette directed a team of engineers focused on modernizing mission-critical systems.

Before joining the NY Fed, Bernadette was a technology leader at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) for over 20 years, where she held progressively senior roles in regulation, compliance, and human resources.

Bernadette holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Iona University and an MBA in Finance from Fordham University.  She is a second-generation Irish American, with her father hailing from County Longford.

Bernadette resides on Long Island with her husband and their three children.
