
Charles McCormack
Save the Children
Charles McCormack is president, chief executive officer and a member of the Board of Trustees of Save the Children Federation, Inc., a non profit, non sectarian private voluntary agency in connecticut. Save the Children has programs in 17 states and more than 40 countries overseas, an annual budget of more than $100 million, and a staff of more than 3,000.
The voluntary agency improves the lives of disadvantaged children everywhere by introducing health care, agriculture and enterprise programs to places such as Asia, Africa and the Middle East. The agency also supports several refugee assistance programs.
McCormack Previously served as chairman of World Learning in Vermont, which promotes peace through international education, and serves on the boards of The American Forum for Global Education and Landmark College. He received his doctorate and masters degree from Columbia University, and is a graduate of Middlebury College. He was selected by the United Nations Secretary General to help with the founding of the United Nations University.
