Daniel Keegan

Daniel Keegan is head of Equities Americas at Citigroup. Prior to his current position he served as head of Electronic Trading.

Born in New Jersey, Daniel attended the University of Notre Dame, receiving a B.A. and later, a J.D. at Notre Dame Law School. Before joining Citigroup, Daniel was employed at J.P. Morgan Chase, where he established the Electronic Execution services business, and later sat on the executive committee and board of directors at Automated Trading Desk. Daniel is currently on the board of BATS Global Markets.

A third-generation Irish American with ancestors from Co. Meath on his father’s side and counties Meath and Louth on his mother’s, Daniel lives in New York with his wife, Elizabeth, and four children, Danny, Rosemary, Margaret, and Katherine.

UPDATE (Aug. 2016): Daniel Keegan became co-head of Global Equities at Citigroup in May 2016.
