David J. Duffy

On June 1, 2004 David Duffy relocated to West Cork in Ireland and he will be commuting to Amsterdam to take on his role as the global head of the ING Wholesale Banking Network. In 1998, he joined ING as global head of human resources. The following year he was promoted to global chief operating officer and a member of the management committee. He was promoted again in 2000, being appointed as president and CEO of ING Wholesale Banking Business in the Americas.

Prior to joining ING, Duffy held a variety of positions at Goldman Sachs for 12 years.

Born and raised in Ireland, he earned BBS and MA degrees from Trinity College, Dublin. He moved to the U.S. in 2000 while he was working for ING. Married with three children, Duffy says, “Being Irish means never having to say you are a foreigner.”
