David J. Walsh is president and CEO of the Amalgamated Family of Companies and is the CEO of Alico Services Corporation. Since taking on these leadership positions, David has introduced significant restructuring and improved both the infrastructure of Amalgamated and its national recognition and reach.

Born and raised in an Irish enclave in Iowa, he holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Wisconsin, master’s degrees from both Alaska Pacific University and Cornell, and a BA from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. He is currently on the boards of the Life Insurance Council of New York, the Insurance Federation of New York, Medicare Rights Center Organization, the Sidney Hillman Foundation and New York City Technical College. He is also a member of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick and the Northern Ireland Children’s Exchange.
