Diane Leneghan Tomb

American Land Title Association

Diane is the Chief Executive Officer of the American Land Title Association (ALTA), a national trade association representing the $22 billion title insurance industry. Earlier in her career, she founded a public affairs firm and served as President and CEO of the National Association of Women Business Owners.

Diane graduated from Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Md., with a B.A. in Political Science and later served on the Board of Directors. She began her career working at the White House for then-President George H.W. Bush. In 2024, Diane was recognized in Washingtonian Magazine as one of the Most Influential People Shaping Policy; she also was named one of HousingWire’s Women of Influence in 2017.

A native of Philadelphia, she is a first-generation Irish American. Her parents, Sally (nee Newcombe) and Anthony Leneghan both hail from County Mayo. Diane grew up Irish dancing and playing the accordion with her father, who ran Leneghan’s Irish Inn in Philadelphia for over 50 years. Diane and her husband Mark have three young adult children and live in Arlington, Va.
