Donna Cleary

Donna joined TD Bank in April 2024 as Head of Middle Market-New York Metro. She provides strategic leadership and expertise to grow and deepen client relationships throughout the middle market space across New York State, Northern New Jersey, and Fairfield County, Connecticut.

Before joining TD, Donna worked at Santander Bank, where she held various positions over her six-year tenure. Prior to joining Santander, she spent fifteen years at Allied Irish Bank (AIB), where she held both relationship and credit management leadership roles in Europe and the US. She moved to New York in 2013 from Ireland to help grow AIB’s Leveraged Finance Group.

Donna earned her postgraduate degree in Finance at the Smurfit Graduate Business School, University College Dublin, and her Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with a focus on French and Spanish at University College Galway. She is also a qualified Accountant, and has a customer-centric approach and a passion for building inclusive and high-performing teams.

A champion and advocate of junior talent through her involvement in various mentorship programs, Donna is a member of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory’s Advisory Board, a member of Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign.

A proud mother of two daughters, Donna lives in Bayville, Long Island, New York, and enjoys running, golf, coaching, and playing soccer.
