Emer Walsh is a Director at Raymond James on the Institutional Equity Sales Desk in New York City. She leverages the firm’s full suite of products, including research, execution capabilities, and capital markets, to drive strong results for her clients and the firm. 

With over 16 years in the industry and 18 years in finance, Emer has built a reputation for cultivating deep relationships with both established institutional investors and emerging hedge fund managers. Her client-first approach aligns strategic investment opportunities with tailored execution to ensure optimal outcomes and long-term partnerships.

 Emer is a first generation American. Her parents were both born and raised in Ireland; her mother, Dr. Mary D’Alton, was born in Killala, County Mayo and her father, Dr. Joseph D’Alton, was born in Banagher County Offaly.  Emer grew up visiting members of her very large family in Ireland every year, which fostered a profound appreciation for her cultural roots. She credits her family, her parents in particular who are both successful physicians, with instilling in her a strong work ethic, deep respect for her Irish heritage, and most importantly, her “gift of gab.” Emer earned a B.S. in Economics from Rollins College in Orlando, FL, and currently resides in Rye, New York, with her husband, Brendan, and their two children, Nora and Charlie.
