Deloitte

Hugh Murray is a Partner at Deloitte in New York, and a leader within the Audit and Assurance practice. He works with companies across the financial services sector, with particular expertise in banking, capital markets and fintech.

Originally from County Down, Hugh joined Deloitte’s Belfast office after graduating from Queen’s University Belfast and the University of Ulster. He relocated to New York in 2013 having qualified as a Chartered Accountant and is currently licensed as a US CPA.

Hugh is actively involved in the Irish American professional community and has been a member of numerous organizations over the years, including the Irish International Business Network, Digital Irish and North American initiatives for his alma mater. He is also a founding member of the New York Chapter of Chartered Accountants Ireland, and is committed to creating opportunities for the next generation of Irish leaders.

Having been involved with the GAA from an early age, Hugh has played for the Sligo New York GAA club since arriving in the city. He also serves on the junior board of PowerPlay NYC, a nonprofit that empowers girls from underserved communities through sports and academic enrichment.
