James McDevitt is the Head of Equity Sales and Trading at Roberts & Ryan, a Service- Disabled Veteran Owned broker-dealer. Roberts & Ryan combines institutional trading expertise with a social mission to help Veterans, having donated more than 20% of net profits. Jimmy is a graduate of Suny Oneonta with a BA in American History. He started his career on the floor of the NYSE and worked as a Specialist for Stern Brothers and MJ Meehan as a partner before being acquired by Bank of America. 

Jimmy’s Irish heritage can be traced back to both sets of Grandparents who emigrated to the United States in the late 1920s. The McDevitt side is from County Derry and the maternal side is from County Clare. Ireland and all things Irish have always been highlighted at family events, the history and the luck that found the family in NYC. 

Jimmy resides in Long Branch NJ with his wife Nancy, they have 3 children Patrick, Jennifer, and Colin all of whom are quite familiar with the Dubliners and the Pogues.
