Jane McCooey is an Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer for the Global Technology & Data Legal group at Morgan Stanley, where she works on legal, regulatory, strategic, and operational issues. She is Co-Chair of the Philanthropy Pillar of the Women’s Business Alliance at Morgan Stanley. Jane was a Senior Associate at the international law firm, Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP for eight years.

An Armagh native, Jane studied Law with French Law at University College Dublin and Université Toulouse Capitole, a Master of Law at Cambridge University, and an Executive MBA with Quantic School of Business.

Before moving to NY in 2013, Jane worked in Brussels, Belgium, at the European Commission and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, qualifying as a Solicitor of England & Wales.

The Founder & CEO of Women with Ambition, a professional network for Irish and Irish-American women in NY, Jane currently serves as Co-Chair of the Young Partners Board of Irish American Partnership and Founder and chairperson of Liberty Gaels Camogie Club.

In 2022, Jane was honored with the Irish Echo Community Champion Award, and in 2023, she was a Irish America Business 100 honoree. She lives in Weehawken, NJ with her husband, Michael McGuinness, and wheaten terrier puppy, Jim.
