Jennifer Abate leads the Financial Institutions Group at Lazard Asset Management which is focused on creating and fostering business development at an enterprise level inclusive of sub-advised, mutual funds, separately managed accounts, defined contributions, and alternative investment vehicles with financial institutions such as wirehouses, national and regional broker-dealers, mutual fund companies, third party platforms and banks. Jen is also a member of the firm’s Global Sales and Marketing Management Committee.

Jennifer received her MBA from New York University and her BA from Fairfield University. She began her investment career in 1995 when she joined Lazard.

She serves on the Board of Directors of the Money Management Institute, the board of the Project YESS (Young Executives Supporting Schools) Leadership Committee of Inner-City Scholarship Fund, and the board of the Fairfield University Dolan School of Business. Jennifer is a also member of the Sales Force Marketing Committee of the Investment Company Institute (ICI).

Jennifer’s Irish ancestry comes from her Father’s side with three of her four great-grandparents coming from Ireland. She attributes her sense of humor, persistent stubbornness (aka drive), faith, and many a good time to her Irish heritage. She resides in New York City with her husband and daughter.
